We drank two bottles of this, pnp at a restaurant last night. It was a real crowd pleaser so an easy order for a non-wino group. Fruity Napa nose, went nicely with most of the food, tannins were smooth and integrated. Palate on the sweeter red fruit side and just a bit primary. I am Not sure this will evolve much and needs to be appreciated for what it is.

N: CLOSED, but guessing RIPE, poss jammy; Intensity lurking?
P: Med body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (threshold R.S.?) met by an astringent pucker which stays in contact with the init swtness/frt as it fairly seamlessly works its way into & through the LONG, balanced finish with a distinct, yet reasonably elegant, tangy/SWTNESS to the few, firming, unoffensive, dusty tannins. For now with food & into '22, I'd guess. Nicely done & good QPR for this AVA/style (assuming one buys it HEAVILY discounted). 15.2% ABV; My EXC-, though @ this vendor's closeout, I'd at least listen to an argument for higher. 93 pts Press Democrat N. Coast Wine Challenge, 90 Int’l Wine Report, 90/Silver @ Decanter’s ’19 World Wine Awards, Gold @ Great American Int’l Wine Comp, & Silver @ TX Int’l Wine Comp. [This vendor's (closeout?) $29.99 compares very, VERY favorably to purchasing it winery direct!]

Deep, dark reddish-purple in color; almost opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty, some spice & herbal notes, minerals, mocha & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with herbs, spices, mocha, minerals, oak & vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but will develop further with some additional aging. Definitely made for a more early to mid-term accessibility. Very good QPR when found at discount.
Opened last night. Dark red with a red-violet rim. Decent ripe nose but appropriately restrained. Nice viscosity. Palate has some chocolate overtones but a little hot and bitter. Chunky and fairly full in the mouth. Decent, not stellar. 5-12-15-7: 89/100.

Plenty of rich, ripe fruit but with a good acidity and tannins for a structure and some length.
