Extraordinary value for the £72 I paid for 12 of these. Classic barossa shiraz, still a dense colour, blackberry and licquorice flavours and plenty of round tannins. Really satisfying everyday drinking. Perfect now but several years ahead still.

Glad to drink this last bottle within a year as indicated in April note. The fruit has lost considerable intensity and vibrancy, such that blackberry is less apparent in the profile. There is still a bit of the snappy finish. Definitely time to drink up.

Score reflects the average of the last five bottles of a half case. If you love blackberries, you'll adore this wine. Decant, 30min wait, pour. Color is dark purple almost black, like the color of blackberry juice. Nose is effusive with blackberries fresh from the vine and to a much (much) smaller degree blueberries, a little cinammon and tar. The nose on this wine has changed since the last bottle 6-7 months ago and is now showing more of the 15.0% alcohol. After three hours in the decanter the fruit is muted and the alcohol is more prominent. The fruit is huge, with a deep core of blackberries dumping across the tongue and settling in layer after layer for a finish of about 25 seconds, and some black pepper on the tail end. In previous bottles there was a pleasant low level astringency to the tannins that made me think of chewing blackberry seeds, but I don't detect it this time. Will drink the last bottle within a year because I don't see this evolving. A very good QPR if only for the sheer intensity of fruit.
