Good, perhaps very good didn't pay the most attention. Black Fruit forward, oak restrained. I usually expect and enjoy a bit more savoury components on an Italian bottle but this didn't deliver that. More new world in style than I wanted when I reached for it, hence the lacklustre review of what was otherwise a tasty and good fruit-forward red blend that was actually CS dominant.

Decent juice here, quite pleased. Merlot, CS, Syrah, Sangiovese. Let it sit a few more years if you can. A great year for Tuscany. Sorry, no formal notes.

I was pleasantly surprised. For the price I thought the quality was terrific. No hint of cheap juice here. Thoroughly enjoyable with no off-putting mineral or bad aftertaste. I'd be happy with a glass of this any time. I can only think the modest review scores are driven more by price. The fruit was balanced and at least reasonably dense. It had a bit less bite than say a Felsina Chianti but was also more enjoyable to just uncork and drink immediately without lamenting that you were compromising by just drinking a cheap bottle. Loved it.

First day, lacked personality. Second day better, tannins. Still very light body.

Splendid Tuscan wine with the expected acidity, dryness, and cherry-driven flavors. The NC is a very consistent performer throughout the vintages.
