Garnet color shading to amber at the rim. Cola, spice and a hint of dried fig on the nose. Sweet cherry and hints of black pepper on the palate. Medium body with medium-plus finish, tannins start gentle but very noticeable on the finish. Paired well with pork and butternut squash stew. Note - I don't think there's much time left on this vintage - a year would be the outside recommendation.

Better than previous bottle 2 years ago. Red pinot fruit on a relatively large scale, but enough acid to keep it from being flabby and not so large as to make it a bad food match. While not particularly memorable, the bottle was certainly pleasurable and a very fair value for $18 closeout price.

Should have been consumed a few years ago. It was a little past it's prime. Still good. Needed to breathe a bit before drinking.
