Wow! Really enjoyed this Cab. Purchased on WineBid to try (along with a FM Chardonnay which was also quite nice). Decanted the cab about an hour and then it was definitely ready! I will confess up front that I generally love all Sleeping Lady vineyard cabs and this one did not disappoint. The nose begins this journey with big, red fruits, cassis, plum and a bit of fresh blueberries. The wine was balanced and a bit complex while staying true to the usual feminine, more elegant qualities that exemplify thus vineyard. Nice, long finish. Definitely one to savor and enjoy! Will buy again.

Out with friends and we had: Fait Main Sleeping Lady 2015, Chateau Potelle Fourmeaux 2013, and, Purlieu Teucer Vineyard 2012. The wines were very different and all solid. Fourmeaux was ready so we started with that and no decant (based on CT reviews) was needed. I think the blend is Cab Sauv, Cab Franc and Merlot, which a friend of mine nailed. This red blend was open for business. Purlieu Teucer was a slight step up in flavor and it was also open for business. I pulled the cork at 5pm and we started consuming this at around 8pm.
The WOTN was Fait Main's Sleeping Lady Vineyard. It too was open for business; it just had more going on; multi-dimensional with black fruit, signature chocolate, and mineral notes on the mid-palate and finish.
It's a great wine for sure, but having had a $hit ton of 2015's, I can now say with confidence that this vintage simply doesn't get me fired up in the way the 2016 or even the 2014's do.
The ripeness of the fruit just doesn't speak to me. The "intensity" of the fruit seemed to dominate, crowding out all other aspects of what I would consider a great wine/ vintage.
Sunday wine dinner with 3 single vineyard wines: Myriad Three Twins 2016, Anthem Las Piedras 2014, and, Fait Main's Sleeping Lady Vineyard 2015. The wines were more similar than different; especially with Myriad and Fait Main.
Fait Main was very good. Nice purple color, very smooth, easily drinkable, but it was a little flat - at least compared to Myriad and Anthem. Drink up if you have this.

Splash decant and drank over a couple of hours. This has plenty of structure; more than the 2014 version. This needs a couple of years to start realizing its potential. 94+ for now, and can see Jeb's 96 being about right in 3-5 years.
