  Nose of jazzy red and black fruit, mocha and vanilla. Tastes of black raspberry, blueberry, mocha, loam, vanilla and a touch of green (?American oak). Smooth and velvety texture. Med+ acidity and med- tannins.

  Interesting cab which some have compared to Blue Eye Boy which is a syrah. This definitely has a little spice that leans toward a syrah but has a little more sprigtig than the smoother Blue Eye Boy. Interesting wine but price point may be on the high side for me to revisit this wine.

  I tasted this alongside a bottle of Ca' Marcanda Promis 2013. Both similar prices. I preferred this.
  
  Bright black fruit on nose. Lots of sweet fruit on palate yet it finishes dry with plenty of acidity and plenty of tannin. This is a big, fruit forward wine, 15.5% alcohol, not hot, long finish, not obviously a Cabernet, and delicious nonetheless. I had it with Amy's Chili Mac but it doesn't need food. Delicious, not complex, surprisingly balanced; I've tasted most of the last ten vintages and whilst they are all different, I haven't had one i didn't like.
  I won't argue that its great QPR - but it is consistently delicious, if you like this kind of wine.

  An impulse purchase at an extortionate price of $59. I love this wine, for sentimental reasons, and had to buy one bottle whilst making some smarter wine purchases.
  
  Vanilla and red fruit on the nose. Lots of red fruit on the palate, a little warm, long smooth finish. Its not the most characteristic cabernet, but its better than a lot of Californian cabernets i have tasted for 1.5 to 2 x the price.
  
  This is a very easy Cabernet to enjoy. I will find a cheaper seller and buy a case.

  more restrained than the Blue Eyed Boy but still packed with jammy fruit. 90
