{screwcap, 14%} Blackberry shiraz fruit, with a mint edge. Mild oak character; never quite gets away from a slippery, commercial sort of texture. As though the tannins are plastic-coated somehow, and you never really experience them properly. Rich and malty palate, medium/full weight, muted - possibly synthetic - acidity. Gently furry finish, medium length at best, but lacking real definition or interest. To be fair, it's still a pretty decent wine for 20 bucks. Keep if needed, but no improvement to come.
