  The nose was dark and rich with balsamic spices up front, giving way to floral-infused cherry and crushed strawberry with sweet dusty minerality. On the palate, I found depths of soft textured dark red and black fruits with zesty savory spices and earthy minerality. The finish was long, showing a youthful mix of fine young tannin and tart red berries. It’s hard to believe that this is a 2007, as the fruit was showing great energy. However, it’s also very soft-textured for Vigna Rionda Barolo.
