Bright pale straw colour. On the nose, reserved lemon and a whiff of pineapple & butter
Restrained, but balanced palate, the fruit quite reserved and the hint of butter showing on the modest-decent length finish. Acidity relatively light, but sufficient in the context of the wine.
Overall, nicely balanced and useful food wine, but somewhat neutral.
REVISIT - 2nd night. The nose is now a little more buttery (with a touch of breadiness as well). Perhaps a little fuller of palate as well, with a more waxy/nutty quality to the finish
Potential for some positive development in the cellar - maybe 3-5 years? Perhaps more.

ETC Armory Center: White raisins, great minerals, med. bod, very nice smoothness with a good dose of integrated a’s towards the back. Very good classy stuff.

Bright yellow with a dash of green and gold. Small lemony nose with great vegetable notes of asparagus, leek, french oak and lime zest. Crisp apple, lychee, and a bold herbaceous quality flow thru the palate. There's almost a minty-mentholy thing going on in there, too (oh yeah, Semillon). Nice, very long (+45sec) toasty finish. A mere newb to Bdx whites, I found this most enjoyable and very interesting. (5+9+16+8) = 88

This was the second bottle out of eight at a tasting of Bordeaux wines at the Whitewater Valley Wine Society. This wine was pale in colour, buttery on the nose and possibly too much oak; being full bodied the fruit flavours seemed to be suppressed. Perhaps it just needed some food – eg salmon with a cream sauce.
