13% alcohol (strange gap between the two figures on the label, and is that really a 1 or an I? Very amateurish). The cork is quite long but very poor in terms of density, and it is soaked through 2/3 of the way. Minimal info on cork too, ie generic "mis en bouteille à la propriété", plus vintage on the top. Unimportant maybe, except as evidence of penny pinching. Not a great start. Fortunately, it is all good from here, and it is all that matters in the end. Medium to light colour with no sign of ageing. The nose has medium intensity with cherries and a pleasant raisiny note. The mouth is in the same vein. Good grip by virtue of perfectly judged acidity. A very good Burgundy of the light weight variety, and a perfect companion to the first pheasant of the season. Dare I say that I enjoyed this a lot better than the Grands Crus at this address ? A repeat purchase in principle (by which I mean that it is a 25€ wine max in my book, and I have no idea of the going rate).
