An interesting wine, my first from this producer. It had more concentration and fruit than a normal relatively entry level wine, but nothing over the top. Cherry cordial was the main ingredient on the medium to full palate, with a hint of oak and black tea as well. Not overtly complex or elegant, but tasty (A-).

juicy on day one, better on day two; complex, with good fruit, but stems and notable mahogany wood are not fully integrated for me; more interesting than enjoyable but might improve with time.

Nose is earthy and tart cherry. It was a little tight when we first opened it, but opened up quickly. Tart fruit with balanced tannins, long dry finish.

Nose: Light macerated strawberry, cherry, rhubarb, cola, sous bois. Dense, wafting projection, well knit together.
Mouth: Soft strawberry and juicy pomegranate glide light and quick off the tongue into a slight midpalate of cola notes and some stemmy tannins.
Overall: Feels a bit like this is a casualty of the vintage. There's a deft hand behind this, (and it maintains its elegance) but everything is just very soft for the most part. Misses the impact of the Lone Oak 2016. 100% Pinot Noir.
