The nose indicates a silky Russian River Pinot, but this hits very tart and it never really smooths out. I’m sure this pairs with something, but what that is I don’t know. Not something I’d buy again.

kind of like drinking a cranberry...wallops you with cranberry and the impression of some sweetness...then progresses to more cranberry with some tartness and dusty tannin. sort of interesting, and not unpleasant, but nothing I would get again

Whoa that's smokey. Great fruit that is smokey. Buy for immediate consumption. I paired with bratwurst and pan seared bell pepper, tomato, and zucchini. I would buy again for pairing with hotdogs or brats. The smoke is barely noticeable on day two. Such a classic and expressive willamette profile. Dense silky fruit, long finish. Hats off to the winery for saving this fruit.

Medium plus nose shows tart, dark feel, boysenberry, hints of carbonic, mesquite, red plum, linear fruit, some spice, light bodied. Not sure they got all the smoke compounds out?
45% new oak, richer version than they normally do for this wine, has some Shea fruit, navigating the smoky 2020 vintage.
