Wow. The ash, smoke and bacon notes take center stage and just push out all of the raspberry fruit that this wine might have. The story is that this wine was tainted by green oak uprights and it makes perfect sense. So glad I got to experience this one. A singular if odd experience.

Oof! An intense nose and palate of cold water on a campfire, old oak, bacon, Islay scotch, cigarette smoke. Ric Forman has a very interesting story to tell about this wine… and as usual, he is right.
