1,900 foot elevation Napa zinfandel planted in the 1990s. The vines are from Trentadue Ranch and include a bit of petite syrah, syrah, carignan, grenache and other varietals. This tastes clean, with notes of raspberry, subtle minerality and soft mouthfeel. This is quintessential California zinfandel made by a master winemaker who oversaw every aspect, from plant to barrel. Chiles Mill is my favorite Green & Red zinfandel, regardless of the vintage. That being said, other vintages really rocked my world and scored higher points, but this is satisfying.

Medium body, good texture and mouthfeel. Smooth tannins. Baking spice, boysenberry/dark berry on palette.
