my experience with Rapitalà Gran Cru is consistent and truly pleasant. This vintage confirms the roundness of this chardonnay grown in the hot lands of Sicilia but basically maintains the true chatacters of the grape with some hints of orchard, balanced acidity enriched with a touch of vanilla and oak. The ensemble in juicy, classy and truly enjoyable, with one sip calling the next one. In a slow evening the Covid era, where this bottle was meant for other pleasures

Served by the glass. Another large and full-bodied chardo. Aromatically, the notes of citrus, apple pie and sweet spices predominate. It went with an oily texture and an intense passage through the palate. Characteristic of the island.

Fairly pronounced oak, leesy, showing some oxidation, well made but a bit too much oak for my taste. Not quite burgundian in style, but rooted in old world winemaking.

Weekly tasting group RWP #313; Italy, Sicilia (@ DJ): The bouquet is a bit locked, but shows yellow fruits. On the palate aromatic, yellow fruits, honey, full bodied, coconut, yellow melon, some sweetness and good acidity.

Rich and opulent, peaches and nuts and tangerine peel and with good acidity on the finish.
