Last bottle, consumed just in time; mature nose of forest floor, mushrooms and dried red fruit. Started to fade after an hour or so. Medium body, a hint of tannin left, and enough sweet fruit to make this a very enjoyable bottle. Considering that this was François Mitjaville's first vintage for this wine, I am pleased to say that it has never let me down.

A comparison between 1988, 1989 and 1990 Bordeaux (By ASa): The darkest wine of '88, '89 and '90. The bouquet is still locked and there is a firm dose of oak. Mouth filling wine, red and black berries, good acidity and youthful tannin. Overall a juicy and a bit rustic wine. In this stage the best of the three vintages.
