Brought this as a back-up bottle, but decided to PnP as it was still pretty early by the time we tasted through the opened wines. Initially apprehensive (as I've recently read JM's Burgfest note for it), but was put to ease almost immediately upon the 1st whiff - so very giving, with notes of roses/violets, red-berries, spice/sandalwood unfurling from the glass. "Nose-of-the-night" was almost immediately proclaimed by some friends. What followed on the palate was equally impressive - flowing through with a sensual & satiny texture, more perfumy red-fruits/berries followed which was framed with nice minerality & great freshness. This was so tasty and delicious! Eventually WOTN for most, if not all...
