Dusty book with red and black cherry. The palate is glossy and very sweet with great concentration of black and red cherry and berry fruits. The length is incredible for a wine at this price. The Wine Society £18 when bought in 2021.

A difficult LBV, startting quite angular amd even a bit skinny, but wait a week or so and this port starts to blossom, but not fully. Even after a week this port remained severe, although stylish severe, with good bitters from start to finsh and even some tannins and still a tad lean. I suggest to give this port 3 to 4 years in the cellar to soften.

Opened, decanted (removing a small amount of sediment).
On day 1 this was rather hot and acidic and not great. Life intervened, and then on day 4 (after sitting in the decanter at cellar temperature) it's rather better.
The nose is rich, balanced, not hot, sweet smelling fruit. On the palate very smooth, easy drinking, nice balancing acidity, not hot, but rather simple.
After some air this is a straightforward very easy drinking port. It goes down very well with some stilton, but it's rather unmemorable.
Overall, not bad QPR at the ~US$26 that I paid.
