  Nose of lavender / floral, manuka honey, chocolate, black licorice / anise
  
  Medium / deep garnet.
  
  Bright acid backed up with grippy tannins. Well balanced. long finish. Strawberry, star anise, peat/charcoal.

  No in depth notes, served blind. Silky and super elegant. Color whispers of maturity, actually thought this was at least 3-5 years older than '07. In perfect shape with mature cherries and raspberries, lots of rosehip, elegant notes of tar and worn leather, iron and gravel road. The palate is polished and refined. Still good acidity and in perfect balance. Probably peaks now and the coming years, great bottle!
