Very much a traditional style Barolo. Luckily for us, this is one that doesn't require two decades of bottle age to drink.
Blood orange peel, chinotto, cola, root beer, garrigue, ginger, sagebrush. The palate in particular has a bitterness throughout, reminding me of Fernet. Medium + body. Medium + powdery, dusty tannins that are exactly what I expect from 7 year old Barolo. Drink now or age it for 5-10 years longer. The choice is yours!

The advice to open a day ahead may be spot on. This was a bit disjointed, although it drank reasonably well with risotto.

I would open this a day ahead of time. The half bottle I had on day 2 was so much more expressive. Dried flowers, menthol, roses and sappy cherry.
