  Bought in the Duty Free on our way out of SAfrica 4 years ago. Held in a cool cellar ever since. Pnp'd for 40 yo friends/classmate during a dinner/stayover visit in Lakeland. Great right from the pnp, just a tad light in weight to start but a great rendition of red Bdx fruit and enjoyed all during the evening. It filled out a bit through the night and was very well balanced. Never a downside to it. There were times where I thought it would get to 92 or 93 but it just never quite did. Still, it's good quality and a decent effort at mimicking the French. Kudos to the winemaker!

  Deep ruby red. Layered nose with a bit of earthiness, herbal, cherries, spiced wood and tobacco. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) with some acidity and full body. Plums on the palate with bit of chalkiness and oak. Long finish. Drink till 2029.
