  I have little experience with Silvaner wines, but this bottle was absolutely interesting and exciting. The “Am Lumpen 1655” (limestone soils) is sourced from the best plot of the former Escherndorfer Lump vineyard. Beautiful lemon-yellow in color and an exuberant bouquet of white blossoms, ripe pear, honey melon, underpinned by meadow herbs and earthy tones. The complex, full-bodied and well-balanced palate is marked by concentrated yellow fruit, a serious mineral texture and a solid acid structure. Impressive finish. Excellently drinking now, but will easily manage 3–4 years of cellaring.
  
  Ik heb tot nog toe weinig ervaring met Silvaner-wijnen, maar deze fles vond ik bijzonder interessant en spannend. De "Am Lumpen 1655" (kalksteenbodem) is afkomstig van het beste perceel uit de voormalige “Escherndorfer Lump”-wijngaard. Prachtig citroengeel van kleur en een uitbundig bouquet van witte bloesems, rijpe peer, honingmeloen, vermengd met nuances van weidekruiden en aardse tinten. Een complexe, volle en perfect uitgebalanceerde wijn, gekenmerkt door geconcentreerd geel fruit, met een serieuze minerale textuur en een degelijke aciditeitsstructuur. Zeer intense finale. De wijn is nu al uitstekend op dronk, maar kan gemakkelijk nog 3–4 jaar bewaard worden.
