Winorama: A winter in Wineland III; 1/4/2019-1/13/2019 (Portland/Willamette, Eureka, Napa): From a barrel tasting at the winery. Actually tasted from 3 different barrels with different levels of toast and different levels of malolactic fermentation. First barrel was still almost fizzy. There's a lot of dark red fruits (mostly cranberry) underlying all of this. I'm not seeing the acidity that seems to be a hallmark of the finished product yet, but of course this is about as early as it gets (wines had been in the barrel for maybe 2 months).

Delicious. Still a little young but very good right now.
