  • Dark cherry. Significantly darker than the others alongside. A dusty velvet rather than silk, quite full with ever so slightly grainy but fine tannins. Just a bit broad edged and lacking the elegance or line of the Gruenchers or villages. Made to look a little clumsy by comparison, but I suspect this would show better without the company. Would benefit from more bottle time. ***

  • silky smooth on the palate, the fruit was a little darker than I expected and began to tighten up and show more tannin after a couple of hours, should be lovely in time
