Very silky and elegant on the weighty palate. The tannins are very well integrated and the wine leaves you very satisfied after a medium-length salty finish.

A polished St Joseph with, initially, a milky smooth texture, and then ripe powdery tannin and wonderful fruit/savoury balance. Black cherry, vanilla, and the black pepper spicy finish helps camouflage the heat.

Still bright ruby in the glass. Beautiful nose, black cherry, quite ripe with a hint of jam, though nothing overworked. Savoury too, with black olive tapenade and wet stones. Medium bodied with fine chalky tannins and good length. Just a touch warm at the finish (it is 14.5% abv). Black cherry, toast, stalky and grippy. Lovely wine. An elegant St Joseph with plenty of substance. Drinking well now, but it could happily hold for the next 2 years.

I'd largely go along with PBMedder's notes.
