Surprisingly available already, this has nice body/soft yet evident tannin and good length. Colour is all Nebbiolo light brick, and there is no shortage of dark fruits, rosehip, leather. Best with food but actually quite nice on it’s own.

Drank this for dinner next to an '18 Damilano Lecinquevigne Barolo. The Damilano was fully ready for drinking, the Scavino still could use some time. Tannins have softened, but still a little close. Not a punishment, though...

Ruddy red with rusty rim. After a 2 hour decant, the nose exudes cherries and roses and earth. The palate is medium in weight, but lighter on the tongue. The fruit steps a little back and gives way to biggish tannins and medium acidity. It is grippy and abrupt in flavour, but perhaps missing a little oomph behind it. That being said, this is drinking well, but likely will improve over another 5 years or so.

1st of 6. No detailed notes were taken, but this is in a good spot. Acidity seemed a bit high. Tannins are fairly smooth for a young-ish barolo. Fruit is a bit hidden, but is lovely. A bit of funk on the finish.
