  • This wine is clearly very young right now, although it is much better integrated than when I tasted this first time last year.

Ruby/red color, perhaps slightly darker than I’m used to with QB. Full and enticing aromas of cherry, fresh berries and some leather and cedar evolving with Indian spices, toast and some hints of eucalyptus. Full bodied with silky/dusty mouth coating tannins, fresh acidity and fruit. The finish keeps lingering for a long time and seamlessly echoes the initial aromas.

This wine has more freshness and at the same time some clear hints of the longer time in wood. And ot has the structure to last, perhaps similar to the 2006 vintage of this producer.

While enjoyable in its youth I would personally wait a little longer before I open the next bottle. And I expect it might even develop more complexity over time potentially earning a notch up. Drink 2024 - 2039.
