Decanted and served. Opened up quickly and consumed over a 2 hour dinner. Burgundian style with a smokey meat note. A little cherry peeks through the earth and clove notes. Firm acidity and resolved tannins. Best Elk Cove I have had in a while. Ready to drink.

(Elk Cove Vineyards Pinot Noir Windhill) Lightly bricking medium cherry red color with pale meniscus; cranberry, sour cream, sous bois, mineral nose with green notes; brett, tart red fruit, mineral palate with green notes; medium finish (vineyard planted in 1974, on volcanic soils)
