This came in the box a week ago and I just had to try it and compare to the MH Coombsville. Lots of ripe raspberries, strawberries, dark cherries and black plums. Pretty aromas of white pepper, vanilla and spicy oak. Smooth on the palate, more mix of red and black fruits, some cinnamon and floral nuances. Soft tannins, decent structure and medium-long finish. So definitely I enjoyed the Coombsville more and it’s better but this entry level is a very very delicious wine for the price. 92-93 pt

First wine of the night during steak dinner, decanted <1 hr. Immediately approachable and continued to open up into pleasant, smooth and balanced experience . More of a Caymus, more elegant and mellow style of CA cab. Pretty good alone but just as good paired with steak.

Gorgeous. Notes of plums, violet flowers, and crayons on the nose. Opens with blackberries, black cherries, currants. Definitely decant, very drinkable now.

Decroux 2016 Horizontal Tasting and Other Reds (Morgan Hill, CA): Opened it 2 hours prior to serving.
Violets and plums on the nose. Nice strong, grippy tannins. It felt like it was just to the roof of my mouth. Not overpowering but nice.
A really nice, well made wine. Served as an excellent contrast to the Pinots we just finished.
