2nd bottle from a 6 pack, this wine was contrasted with 2017 Jadot Meursault Charmes 1er. Fascinating, a bit more steely, flinty, and minerl-driven than the more generous Meursault, the P-M was shiing and got better over an hour. Just a gorgeous bottle with a long and slatelike finish. Drink through 2030+.

1st bottle of 6 purchased. Enjoyed with dear friends. No decant, poured cold and enjoyed over an hour as the wine slowly warmed up. White flowers, wet flint/slate, faint citrus notes hiding behind slightly more obvious red and green apples, a hint of kiwi. Deftly applied oak, must be only about 1/3 new oak (confirmed with a little research), adding a bit more breadth and volume to the aromas and mouthfeel. Perfect acidity, ushering in a long and mineral-laden finish that pricks the cheeks and delights the nasal passages. This wine is a rare treat, and perhaps the highlight wine of the entire weekend. Gorgeous. Drink through 2030+.

Taste: The feel is medium/full bodied with refreshing, medium+ acidity. The refinement on the nose follows through on the palate along with quince, red apples, white florals, lemon peels, toast, and vanilla tones.
Overall: This is a beautiful, young Puligny premier cru. It may drink on the earlier side as it is pretty open right now, but with a lot of air. Still, this is a treat right now and can be enjoyed for its youthful side though it can certainly benefit from 5+ years of aging.

Pnp. Strågul med et gyldent skjær. Flott nese som er ganske reduktiv og viser en del krutt og stein, men som også har moden frukt. Smør og fat. Feit og deilig i munn. Rik hvit og gul frukt. Stein og røyk. Flott nerve. Dette er veldig ungt, men veldig godt.

Nice balance and complexity. Good QPR for white burgundy. Drink or hold.

2017 (mostly) Cote de Beaune Premier Crus vol 2 (Adam's, Logan Square, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose is spring-like and refined, filled with quince, red apples, white fruits, white florals, lemon peels, toast, and vanilla tones. There is excellent depth and balance while showing a slight bit of reticence at this time.
