Medium yellow-gold color. The nose is oddly muted but quite complex with a little coaxing, showing a touch of oak, anise, peppery floral notes, peach, and melon, plus a slightly unpleasant volatility. Similarly shy on the faintly smoky palate, allowing the alcohol to come forward a bit aggressively through the finish. Drink now with a good decant, but not worth seeking out.

I find myself frequently underwhelmed by Jadot. They make so much table wine that it seems their Premier Crus are pulled down a level rather than the other way around. This was a case in point. It has a very nice nose of vanilla, citrus and oak but lacks intensity, On the pallet it is well balanced but with a very short finish. Quite a nice bottle really, just below the level of a Premier Cru from the area.

Crisp apple, hazelnut with long finish. Low acidity and hints of minerals. Very nice white burgundy.
