Made from a single plot of ancient Clairette vines planted in 1870 in very stony and sandy soils on Mount Peguierol, overlooking the river Rhône near Montfaucon. Has all of the things I love about southern Rhone whites - richness tempered by bitterness, offbeat and delicious. Peaches, honeycomb, lemon curd and herbs. Felt ready but also like there was plenty left in the tank.

Flinty minerality, orange peel and a distinct and intense shot of herbes de Provence. The lack of fruit might leave you wondering where the 93 point RPWA score came from, but this is a focused, unique and mind-bending wine from 140+ year old vines. Pairs awesome with French fries.
