  A very different animal than my 3 years old notes indicates. Still has a mineral feel, but the richesse of the 2016 is showing, has more Southern spice, more full bodied. A Rhône lovers Rhône-wine - still primary, amazingly enough.

  Organically farmed southern Rhône wine, a blend of 60 % Grenache Noir, 15 % Syrah, 15 % Cinsault and 10 % Mourvèdre (40-year-old vines / clay-limestone soils). Aged for twelve months in concrete tanks. Dark garnet-red in color and a fruit forward nose revealing scents of ripe black cherry, cassis, licorice and a touch of leather and black pepper. The medium-bodied palate shows sweet red forest and bramble fruit, quite a soft texture and harmonious tannins. Satisfying aftertaste. An elegant and enjoyable wine but a bit more complexity wouldn't hurt. Drink it now and over the next two years.
  
  Biologisch geteelde wijn uit de zuidelijke Rhône, een blend van 60 % Grenache Noir, 15 % Syrah, 15 % Cinsault en 10 % Mourvèdre (40 jaar oude stokken / klei-kalksteen bodems). Rijping: twaalf maanden in betonnen tanks. Donker granaatrood van kleur en een fruitige neus met aroma’s van rijpe zwarte kers, cassis, zoethout en een vleugje leder en zwarte peper. In de mond, een middelkrachtige wijn gedomineerd door bramen- en rood bosfruit, met een vrij zachte textuur en harmonieuze tannines. Bevredigende afdronk. Een elegante, aangename wijn, maar een beetje meer complexiteit zou zeker geen kwaad kunnen. Te drinken: nu en in de komende twee jaar.
