  • Has potential but very mute at the moment bordering on being dead.

So mute that there is not much to say other than - it got better after 3 hours, will turn into a softly spoken wine with a cool climate leaning. Notes of red fruits, bacon and some spice notes. Finish was respectable.

Drink from 2025 to 5+ years after that. Need a serious decant - perhaps even a triple to wake it up.

  • Admittedly this is a young wine but I thought it might be worth checking out. Let breath for a few hours - initial impressions of black pepper and black fruit, but faint. Moved to a decanter and sampled it over the next 6-8 hours.

In addition to black pepper also picked up some green olive on the nose and palate, but the wine was still quite tight and never really showed anything.

Shut down on day 2. Took one for the team here!
