This is hands down the best Condrieu that I have ever had! Nose was just so elegant and complex with honey, dried apricot, hint of bees wax and spices. On the palate this is quite full with some waxiness / gras and at the end palate there is a hint of grippiness. Taste just lasts forever in your mouth and leaves lovely floral aftertaste. This is definitely the number one wine for elegant and complex Condrieu that can age for a long time.

Hosting LI Blind 2017 edition (Jewel Restaurant Melville): Sweeter, richer and less oxidized than my other bottle. It paired with sirloin with aplomb. No one could identify it as Viognier but no one had ever had one this old. A couple of folks named it wine of the night. Excellent.

Who says Viognier can't age well? The muskiness I once loathed in white Rhônes now offers intrigue. This has a deep, floral and exotic fruit nose. Mildly oxidative but with ample freshness. A great pairing with pearl barley, morels and cremini. Very impressive. Day 2, final glass remains strong and vibrant.

@Peter with T (Charlottenlund): NR as I am uncertain; this is my no means gone, but you do feel a vintage, that is more for the reds than for the white; it is quite spicy, rustic, very full bodied, very dry indeed, more like an old white Hermitage... @Peter

(Domaine Georges Vernay Condrieu Coteau de Vernon) Bright medium golden yellow color; amazing floral, lily and vanilla nose, that changes to a honey nose; elegant, silky, sweet citrus palate with minerality and good acidity; medium-plus finish 93+ pts.
