This is hands down the best Condrieu I’ve ever had. An electric bouquet of honeysuckle, white flowers and licorice is followed by apricots on the tongue. No bitterness or oily texture and just the right amount of acid make this pretty well balanced for a Viognier. Every Condrieu with age I’ve ever had has been disappointing, so I wouldn’t hold onto this for too long.

Monthly Tasting Group: Northern Rhones (Lela, Bloomington MN): Very pale green gold color. Small pour. Lovely, floral up front, aromatic, green herbs, peach. On the palate tart peach, light body, spiced. I like this, especially the nose, but it's a bit bitter and angular on the finish.

A super expressive nose of honeydew melon and peaches. The palate is acidic.
