Last bottle I had was roughly three years ago, and I wrote "drink within the next year". Fortunately, I ignored my own advice, and of course it has improved. It's still well balanced, but it's much better integrated now, and it hasn't lost any "oomph". On the palate, the fruit seems bigger and more mouth-filling, and the transition to the finish is much more seamless. Holding up just fine, thank you, and it's a very good value.

Really quite highly extracted, alcoholic, and acidic, but a really solid wall of juicy berry in there. On first taste I thought it was wildly out of balance in the “big” direction (esp for a C du R). On second night under argon, however, much more enjoyable. Thus my score. Hide it for 4 years.

P n P. Very primary at first, but it settled down after about 20 minutes. Deep color, cherries and berries on the nose. More cherries and berries on the palate. I did not pick up any "Rhoney" characteristics (garrigue, etc.). Surprisingly full body, but still light on its feet. An almost creamy texture. Moderate tannins, but, after about 90 minutes, they had disappeared - which suggests to me that it's best to drink within the next year or so.

Beautifully balanced and dry. Notes of blackberry, raspberry, black cherry, black currant, leather, and spice.
Fantastic QPR.
