  • We enjoyed this wine with Pizza at Massa, a restaurant in Caserta, Italy. Wine was ready to drink. Medium bodied.

  • Should have been an example wine of its appellation. Had some nice Cab Franc-like characteristics: pencil shavings and blackberry leaf. Yet, it lacks the dar black fruit core a nice Castel del Monte shows. This wine also acted very odd. Tasted him over three days at different times. Sometimes giving away a lot of pencil lead, fleshy texture, raw pepper, green asparagus and blackberry leaf. Two hours later it didn't show anything but sour harshness, while some in the evening it again lifted a tip of the veil. Too young? Bottle sleep?
