PnP held since release. Still showing very well. Med/med+ body, textbook aromas and flavors. Elegant, complex, lovely. A joy. Thru 2028 if this one is representative (before it begins its decline).

PnP. Ok, so I didn't make it the full five years, but I did get to share it with a winemaker friend of mine that produces Russian River Wines - he loved it. We were both fully impressed with the structure, purity and depth of the wine that it could have all of the above and still be Cab Franc and still only have 12% abv. None of the attendant pyrazine notes, just layers of red fruits, mixed with savory, juicy acidity and smooth, long tannins. A superb example of the varietal. 94+, drink thru 2019.

Shoot-out at Aaron's (Denver, CO): This cabernet franc from the Loire will surely outlive me. A medium ruby core and a bullet-proof frame of precision, terroir and depth, this wine blows me away each time I have it. A hint of pyrazine, damp, black earth, dark spices and wet cedar lead into a very broad palate with silky tannins and a 60 second finish. Opening the next one in 5 years, and the last one 5 years after that. Amazing. Approx $18 on release. 12.3% abv.
