This might be the best syrah I have ever had. Inky, almost black. The fresh fruit stays in the mouth for quite a spell, much to my delight.
From the tech notes: 100% tight grain French oak, 25% new, which it remained on with minimal disturbance for 21 months. Any movement of the wine was done by gravity flow. Harvested, sorted, and punched down by hand, in complete isolation until final blending. Light/medium-light basket press. 80% whole cluster fermented.
Wine Club only, not distributed. 93 cases.
My oh my. 'Nuff said.
