Classified as a VDP Ortswein, which is the equivalent to Village in Burgundy. Very distinct nose, with black currant, blackberry and Christmas spices. Cherry and more black current on the palate. Overall a very light wine, after several hours decanting, there are no tannins to speak of. While all elements are balanced, it lacks complexity. Short finish. Only paid $13 so no complains about QPR, you can’t really find a drinkable US PN in that price range.

Underripe red cherries, red plums, red currant. Cedar, anise, a bit of vanilla. Definitely oak on this wine. Medium + body with medium tannin.
