Celebrating less celebrated france at home. Somewhat deep yellow colour. On the nose, a little nutty, lemon peel. On the palate, lovely, precise, some lemon, candied lemon, walnut and honey. This is drinking lovely now, but not sure how much time ahead of it. Based on previous bottles, I wonder if this had an ever so slightly leaky cork as it seemed somewhat advanced, but not unenjoyably so.

Intense nose, touch of melon, big palate with lots of texture and long finish, lots of concentration, good acid. Touch of mushroom, like octanol, tamarind — check against chamomile. Long. Great.

Colour - palish straw, verging on yellow. Lovely, well balanced - good acidity but not overpowering. Surely drinkable now but I think has time ahead of it. Great for a friday evening with salmon and bake off.

Mid yellow, quite full colour. Quite rich and ripe on the nose. Some stone fruit, a touch of lemon citrus. This carries through on the palate, which has pretty good weight and fresh acidity. Altogether it’s pretty decent but similar to its sibling (Clos du Hochet) which I tried earlier this year I am not sure the QPR really stacks up.
