First of all, it's an about bargain. The color is a deep red, but a tiny bit transparent. The higher alcohol is present on the nose, but not at all unpleasant. It gives the wine richness. You get a lot of fruit here. Even though it's bone-dry, you get sweet fruit flavors of cherries and berries. It lacks in minerality compared to old-world Syrah. The wine is well structured, and there is an interesting moth feel to it. A bit oily, but not in a negative sense. The finish is great and long, but unfortunately the wine is very deep. Calling it "flat" would be unfair, due to what's going on in your moth, but it's just not very complex. Overall great example Shiraz. I Would recommend it to everyone who states he/she loves red wine.

Australian Shiraz from the Barossa Valley. Medium purple color in the glass. Medium aromas of black fruits (cassis, plum) in the nose, complemented by peppery notes on the palate and rounded of by hints of vanilla from aging in new oak.
The wine has a medium/full body, medium/high acidity and medium tannin and while it is balanced and the aromas are discernible, it lacks complexity and has a rather short finish for its prize.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, strawberry, black currant (cassis), prune, plum, espresso, oak and black pepper. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), plum, mushroom and oak. The body is full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity.
