Moon Curser is a small winery that punches above its weight - 2019 Small winery of the year in Canada, with several wines winning gold or platinum at the 2019 Wine Align awards. Their Tempranillo won platinum, and this petit verdot won gold. And deservedly so. Not many wineries in BC do a petit verdot. Desert Hills is one I recall. This wine is very good. Dark red colour, leggy, with dark fruit and red licorice on the nose. Alcohol and strong tannins show this wine has not peaked yet. Very good right out of the bottle and good on day two. Really enjoyed it and wish I had waited a year or two, or had more. If you're near Osoyoos this is a must visit winery.

Pretty rich deep purple on the glass. Mixed berries and maybe some cherries. Def dry. Earthy. Lots of structure. Full bodied. Perfect pairing to a Thurs nite charcuterie tray! It’s not a varietal we are overly familiar with on its own. But we enjoyed it. Bet in 3-4 years it’s loosened up a fair bit!

Tasted in late 2019. Some red fruit on the nose, leather and wood. Very deep, rich, heavy tannins, some flavours of dark fruits. Tastes great, but also like it might benefit from a few years ageing.

This is a gorgeous purple color – love looking at it in the glass!
Straight out of the bottle… this is a dry, dusty tannin field, however, with time - this will be a killer. On day 3, it is trying to break out.
Strong cherry & dark berries currently…there is something good going on here.
The tannins are high & the body full. I’d like to see this age until 2024 and see how it develops. I feel it is hiding something right now.
It is off to a great start though!
