Well...intriguing. Quite atypical for this varietal. On nose: dried apricot, honeydew rind and light stone notes. On palate: all above flavours accounted for, in addition to faint orange rind, dry vanilla / oak notes, clean salty minerality and light acidity....muted, elegant...without the overblown potpourri and soapy elements of some Viogniers. Surprised that this is 14.4% alcohol....no heat. Good companion to Salmon or herbed roast Chicken.

Was fine for the price (mid-$20s). Didn't scream viognier, but certainly had some Rhone-ish qualities of fuller body/less acid, stone fruits, citrus, dry tropicals. Lighter and fresher (less oily) than expected and not very floral, which moves it away from stylistic typicity, but also has the benefit of making this pretty drinkable. Not the best finish on this (short, grassy). Good enough effort here.

Interesting wine. Light flowery nose. Slightly acidic but balanced; mouth filling and slightly viscous. Light fruit flavors of pear and sweeter fruit like honeydew melon. Paired it with poached salmon and it was a good fit. A second bottle paired with spinach pasta and was even better. I had not encountered many Oregon viogniers before but now I plan to explore more of them.

Nose of lime and chalk. Pear and lime with a hint of orange rind
