Pop and pour. 2019 Disg, 0 g/l dosage. Unlike other Trepail wines I've had (Leclapart or Boulard-Baquaire): nose showing a touch of oxidative character, loads of lemon and a touch of marzipan. On the palate: intense acidity, zippy lemon, wet stone, mousse is slightly aggressive still, even on Day 2, good density. Very yummy and also quite interesting.

Made from Chardonnay. Light nose w. some balsamic vinegar (positive note) and caramel. Wonderful acidity w. flowers, green grapefruit, mango, caramel. W. higher temperature comes cumin and Chablis. Crunchy texture and some creaminess. Medium length finish.
Keep or drink.

Continues to be a lovely wine, with a lot of lemon (not lime, imho) notes. Not an incredible amount of complexity on the finish, but a very nice champagne. Made with grapes bought from Leclapart.

Sep 2019 disgorgement. 0g/L dosage. 100% chardonnay. Light golden, elegant bead; aromatic, lemon cream, hint of brioche, complex; palate is medium bodied, excellent body with high but balanced sharp acidity, bone dry, lemon-lime, lemon cream, citrus zest; medium to medium-long finish. A superb blanc de blanc at any price point, but particularly at this one. Another great Marguet. 93

This was JC's bottle. Really tasty, and a surprise given everything I've read about Benoit's 2014s being a bit shrill at present.
