Mid to light browny-red, the core is not much deeper, whilst the rim is a fainter orange. Smokey, meaty nose of sultanas, raisins, treacle toffee and blueberries. Zesty, spicy tang on palate. Full-bodied, honey-like texture. Well-balanced, with very fine tannins. Nice finish, well made. An hour after opening, sweet vanilla oak had come to the fore, turning the fruit to jammy flavours. Still well balanced.

Corked. And this was my first Aussie Zinfandel, too...I'm soooo bummed! Each time this happens I become a bigger fan of Stelvin.[14% abv.; $17.00].
