  • White Frontignac is an Australian name for a Greek grape variety called Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains. It used to be a lot more popular and common than it is today, though back in the 70s and earlier it was usually used to make a sweeter, dessert-style wine. This Rockford White Frontignac is a little sweet too, though it’s what I’d call “off-dry”. It’s also only 9.1% alcohol

Colour very pale straw clear and bright 15/15
Nose med+ intensity , fruity, with passionfruit and pineapple and green apple Turkish delight , white flowers, rose water, fresh rose petals, lemons 28/30
Palate med bodied lively zippy exotic fruitiness that races through the whole palate, I don’t know what the residual sugar is but the touch of sweetness and the intrinsic acid backbone balances it perfectly 42/44
Overall lovely refreshing summer drink 9/11
