  • Medium lemon appearance
Pronounced intensity of petroleum, white pepper, honey, lemon, grapefruit, red apples, wet stone, mineral and a touch of honey.
On the palate the wine is dry with high acidity, medium alcohol and body. The flavor intensity is medium + and the finish is medium +.
The quality is outstanding and can drink beautifully now but can age for a long time.

The tertiary petroleum flavors are present and adds additional complexity to this great wine.

  • {cork, 12.5%, AP 10 19} Pale straw yellow. Honeydew and apple. Very seductive, barely past primary. Palate still has lovely spritzy acid, the same honey and apple fruit, light weight, but also a persistent purity throughout its medium/long finish. It’s not absolutely dry, but any sugar just fills it out nicely without getting near to off-dry. Hugely drinkable, probably better in its youth, I suspect.

  • This has mellowed considerably over the past year. The color is still close to clear. The nose has pear blossom, lime zest and crushed rock aromas. Seamless. Zippy. Fresh. Mineral. Good extract. This is really good. (91)

  • The 2018 has a pungent nose of petrol with a bit of lemon. The palate is quite weighty and substantial making this an excellent choice to pair with saucy food. Great wine.

  • First some petrol to start before the layers of ripe lemon start coming. The nose reveals a warm year. In the mouth there is a fantastic concentration and roundness while retaining freshness, the finish tastes really salty in the best possible way. Delicious now but will still get better, drank from magnum
