  • some knock it since not as acidic and tart as other vintages, but we really enjoyed this, great balance, typical chianti notes. pleasure to drink.

  • Very nice, a bit less tannic than some other vintages and more rounded fruit.

  • 95% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wonderful wine was medium ruby in appearance with medium viscosity. The nose was of medium intensity and smelled of red fruits including cherry and cranberry, figs, potting soil, roasted tomato, balsamic, and marjoram. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with firm tannin and nice acidity. On the palate it was light on fruit notes but pronounced cherry, sun-dried tomatoes, dirt, espresso, and smoke. Beautiful wine whose characteristics, flavors, and aromas encapsulate Italy. Amazing QPR and easily one of the top 5 kosher wines under $25, if not the best. 91-92. Bravo!

  • Very dark color. Explosive sweet ripe dark cherry smoky bouquet. Full bodied with very ripe concentrated dark cherry earthy fruit with hint of tomato. Distinctive Chianti terrior. Very accessible. Delicious now. Can enjoy now or age a few years. White it will go 10 years past the vintage, previous vintages of this wine have become less interesting with age. This is where the classico, the riserva and assai separate themselves. The classico is ready on release and will improve for a few years. The riserva show maturity and complex flavors at age 10. The assai at age 10, while accessible is still youthful and worth ageing longer for more complexity. This wine is delicious and more accessible than previous vintages on release. A must try. Insane QPR. This is the kosher Italian wine to have year after year. 15% ABV
